One of the worst movies I have seen! Why would George Clooney and Brad Pitt make this movie? There was not a point to this story.
Pros: Nothing
Cons: Everything

If you go see this movie, you will wait for a plot to develop. I'm still waiting. I wasn't bored or anything, but a real story would be nice next time.
Pros: Brad and George
Cons: No plot.

The movie...it was alright. I can't say I loved it. But the cinema is a great place. From the friendly employees that always have a smile on their face and treats every customer like friends of the cinema, to the old fashioned kind of look and feel. This Theater is very authentic, built in 1940's, the owner keeps that feel with music from that time and the old classy look. This Cinema is just wonderful.
Pros: Brad Pitt funny, The end-with everyone dead she just wants her surgery, the acting wasnt all bad
Cons: same "suspensful" soundtrack, no suspense, some parts just didnt make sense

The movie is fast-paced but rather lame. If you're in the mood to switch off your brain and watch a weak plot unravel with some element of political sattire yet quite mind numbing, go ahead.
Pros: some good acting
Cons: real bad plot

You've got to be kidding!! Both my date and I kept waiting for this movie to get funny, develop a decent story line or anything that would make it worth watching. It did not happen
Pros: none
Cons: poor plot, not funny, boring

I agree it was slow to start, but the humor made up for it. I thought it was thoroughly entertaining and would recommend it to anyone.

I find a good movie has the abililty to involve even when the people in the movie play roles you could never find yourself living. "Burn after reading" may appeal to married people (maybe) and metrosexuals (whatever you define that as) but it doesn't reach the broad public by a long stretch. Even dark comedy has limits in the brutality; the point being that gratuitous violence detracts viciously from the comic aspect unless you are the Marquis de Sade and seriously messed up in the head. Suffice it to say the previews show nothing of this aspect of the movie, making it a "surprise" to the audience of horrendous nature. On the Players, Frances McDormand was the best part of the movie and efffectively the eye of the hurricane of madness yet no less mad herself and truly defining most of the action. Clooney appears as his typical comic/ego overinflated self and is a non player up to one point of the movie in which he exceeds role quite well at that scene. Pitt is Metrosexual Man (my definition) and not very good at it-possibly because, it's Brad Pitt for gosh sakes! Then John Malkovich hammers it home with performances that are memorable from a dozen earlier movies but still...quite funny in his brutal way of verbally tearing every one and everything down around him in the most Un PC way. With all that said, I did not leave the theater with any sense of wanting to see it again, or reccomending it to friends or even confessing "I fell for it "(the joke the Coen bothers have pulled on the viewing audience) You may disagree but then this is, just as always, an opinion.
Pros: Frances McDormand, John Malkovich
Cons: violence over the top for the genre

I went to see this in a skeptical frame of mind. I really wanted not to like it, but I couldn't stop laughing long enough to stop liking it. It is very dark and requires a viewer to truly pay attention to the details, but it is worth it. This movie is not recommended for folks who are easily offended, incapable of following along and to whom laughing out loud is offensive; otherwise, it is awesome and proves that intelligence really is relative.
Pros: Witty, well written and well potrayed characters.
Cons: A teeny tiny bit slow to develop, but it is worth it in the end.
