So I had two coworkers take me out for lunch one day. We decided on P.F. Changs in SLC. We had the lettuce wraps for the appetizer. They tasted as expected...nothing impressive there. All three of us decided on something different to share. Chang's Spicy Chicken, Shrimp with Candied Walnuts, and Chendgu Spiced Lamb. Chang's Spicy Chicken - Low on the flavor scale, spicy tasted like tabasco sauce, quite dissappointing there, best out of the three dishes. Shrimp with Candied Walnuts - Wow...too much citrus...couldn't even tell I was eating shrimp...the citrus sauce flavored everything...unedible in my opinion. Chendgu Spiced Lamp - High Hopes for this dish were quickly crushed...couldnt' tell it was lamb...too much exta flavor added to the lamb...could have been eating beef that was prepared the same way, and it would have tasted the same...was however, edible enough to eat. I must say, I do have high standards. One of the two coworkers agreed with me on most things I said above, and the other loved the meal. Overall, the service wasn't bad, but the food was. If this was at some $9 a plate chinese restaurant, I would expect this, and choose not to go there again. At the prices this food cost, it was just awful. $5.99 chinese lunch buffet appeals to me more than P.F. Chang's China Bistro.
Pros: None that I can think of...oh wait, the hostess was very nice.
Cons: The food and the price.

PF Chang's is the best place to go when your group of friends would like to try something delightfully different and light. When we go, each person orders something different the appetizer, the main course (or two if there are more than 4 of us) and then the GREAT WALL of CHOCOLATE. This amazing dessert weighs in at 1886 calories for the serving, and you really don't want to eat this by yourself. The family serving style of pf Chang's makes it easy to take what you want and you are less likely to over-indulge.
Pros: Family style service

I am sick of dirty Chinese buffets that cut heads off of fish as you order them. This neat and clean Chinese restaurant has the best service I've ever had at a restaurant. The food is great. I love the Mongolian Beef and Kung Pao Chicken. I've learned that on weekends it's best to make reservations because the wait for a table is usually over an hour. Lunch is a great time to go though.
Pros: awesome service, great food, fun atmosphere
Cons: busy

I ordered several entrees from this restaurant. What I got is a tiny little box of food. I think they thought my birdsa re going to eat them. I've had authentic Chinese dishes and I've travelled in China, this is not your Chinese food. The meat are not tender. The veggies are overcooked and they used too much soy sauce or oyster sauce which burns and blackened the meat too much.
Pros: nice and clean
Cons: No parking, bad service, pricey

Best chinese food in the valley and fantastic atmosphere to boot. Don't miss the lettuce wraps and the Spicy Chicken (not too spicy, but oh so good). Restaurant is a little on the dark side, but always full and lively. Service was very good, but the food was absolutely wonderful.
Pros: Fun Atmosphere, Great Food, Classy Environment
