Beware! The grooming department at Willow creek are amateurs. If you are expecting a professional cut that matches your breed, this is not your place. On our first visit, the woman was distracted during our check-in, did not listen and did NOT disclose (even after she was asked) the full extent of how they planned to groom the dog. Here's an example: When she informed me she would give my dog the typical "westie" cut and I asked her to describe what that meant in her mind. She described the close shaven back, the skirt on the bottom and the full head. It sounded like she understood. I picked up my dog and could not believe the poor results. She had shaved my dog's back all the way from the tail to the TOP of her head. Apparently, she is not aware that a dog's back ends where the neck and shoulders begin. Who knew something so simple could go so wrong! If you don't care about anything other than washing the dog and shaving the coat, this is probably your place. If you want professional results you may want to contact another groomer. It's unfortunate. I had heard many great things about the vets at Willowcreek, but we'll never go back.

I inherited a litter of abandoned kittens requiring bottle-feeding to survive. I had no success getting them to eat & by 11pm they’d gone 8-hrs w/out food & were deteriorating. I called Willow Creek’s after hours # & spoke to a tech who said they’d take them if I’d give them up. It took 20 mins to get there & I rang the intercom. The tech that answered curtly asked, “What do you need?” I reiterated my conversation w/the tech 30 mins prior & she now said they wouldn’t take the litter. Again I pointed out that their tech told me to come in & she said they didn’t take strays so I’d have to find someplace else. It was now 12am, I had 5 starving kittens & they sent me away when I was begging for help! I was there in the first place at 12am because THEIR tech told me they’d help. I reminded her the kittens would die soon w/out food & she snapped, “I don’t know what to tell you. We can’t help you” & she left me there w/tears in my eyes & suffering kittens! It was the middle of the night but I called a friend that takes 7 pets there. She used her position as a patient to get them to let us in & the tech rudely said “I’m only going to show you how to feed them then you’re on your own.” I asked why she didn’t offer that 1st & she said they had people call all the time asking for help but then just dumped the animals off & they were sick of getting stuck w/them. I said that seemed like a better option than the alternative & she replied, “not for us.” Appalling! She taught me how to feed them w/ a syringe but made no attempt to hide her disdain. I never saw a vet. I begged for help & was only going to leave the kittens because they said I had to. Teaching me was always the best option but they assumed I was going to screw them & blew me off at the expense of the kittens. This behavior is deplorable. Anybody considering this clinic should realize that they would rather let kittens die than risk getting “stuck w/them” & have no regret about it. Do you want a vet like this?

Pros: Looks fancy

Cons: No compassion, rude, expensive, don't seem to care about doing what's right

Have taken our dog there a couple times for the vet and for grooming. One time on the vet was for an emergency and it was a Sunday to boot and they were fantastic. Grooming experience was good (except person must have put his leash in the crate with him and he managed to chew it all up...but they gave me a new leash as a result so its all good). We will continue to use them and I will recommend them to anyone who asks.

My dog lost so much weight while in their care and they never called to tell me he was not eating. They had no records to show me of his eating history. They switched his food without notifying me either. They buzzed his face and he got a scar above his eye from the buzzer. This place is horrible and should not be trusted!

Willow Creek Pet Center is the BEST vet center that I've found in the SLC valley. The staff is extremely friendly. The clinicians are professional and explain everything in terms that you'll understand. My boxer has had a few surgeries at this vet center. And I've boarded him there on several occasions. I've been totally satisfied with all of their services and the prices are reasonable, too. Check them out!

Pros: Friendly staff, clean facility, very professional clinicians

Cons: None that I can think of

I have an accident prone dog and have been in Willow Creek probably 8 to 10 times over the last 18 months. Without exception the staff has been attentive and helpful even when I made 3 am calls to check on the status of my dog (rattlesnake). I made the mistake of taking my dog to another vet after she had an accident (blew out her knee) and the other vet mis-diagonosed the problem causing me a lot of money and my dog a lot of pain. Won't make that mistake again. They are more expensive than other places, but for me it is well worth it. Maybe a more sedate dog would be less expensive also.
