User Reviews for Jordan Valley Family Health

5 Star Rating: Highly Recommended

I have seen several doctors over the last 10 years due to chronic pain and shortness of breath. I found Dr. Hamp through a relative and started seeing him about 6 months ago. When entering his office I was nervous and unsure if this doctor would be the one to listen to me or not. When Dr. Hamp came in he was sympathetic and understanding. He immediately started looking for the reason behind the surface symptoms and took action. Before I had time to blink he made me an appointment with a specialist and I was getting the help I needed. The staff was always friendly and remembered me by name when entering into there office. I have had great success in healing and understanding my symptoms since going there. I highly recommend this office to anyone. I saw Dr. Slack once while he was out of the office. She was also kind and compasionate and took care of my needs. Again this clinic is one of the best and the staff cares about there patients.

Pros: Caring, professional, understanding, and educated

Cons: Sometimes but rarely there is a wait

I had an appointment with Dr. Caryn Kendra Slack, MD, at Jordan Valley Family Health. Pros: Appointment was easy to get. I did not have to wait long in the waiting area. Dr. Slack was not rushed. Cons: Neither the receptionists nor the nurses were friendly or nice; they were almost like robots. When Dr. Slack walked into the room, she did not even look at me. She walked straight to her computer and started typing in my symptoms as I spoke. She was not able to answer most of my questions; she gave very vague answers that could've applied to a number of conditions. In the end, I learned more from the internet. But I have found this to be the case with most doctors; this is why I give Dr. Slack an average rating on her knowledge.
