In reference to Courtney Connor's review. Courtney came to us For our expereienced stylists of 18 Yrs. to fix her hair color "not origionally done in our salon". Corrective color takes time. Courtney was about 5 hours over 2 days. Courtney was offered lunch, given beverages and a complimentary heated hand treatment wich she loved. Her services were a total of 163.00, NOT THE 300.00 SHE CLAIMED. This was an excellent price. Salons charge over $100 per hour on corrective color. She was very happy with her service and her hair was beautiful. Camera footage shows if our word is'nt good enough. When leaving she thanked the staff for being so patient with her and her cying episodes, asked for their cards & said she would difinately be back. The next day she requested her money back. The only reason she had for wanting her money back was that she had to pay a baby sitter while she had her hair done. Courtney Said she would call the credit card company and say she was never in or had services done in our salon. This shows her honesty & how much of her review one should beleive. Our office got a fax from her credit card Company asking for any proof that she had had services in our salon. We sent proof of her credit card she had signed for 163.00 and offered video footage for theft of service charges. Credit card Co. and other Businesses Be aware of Courtney Connor And Shame on City Search for posting reviews without researching facts, they calim to be in business to help other businesses. Our staff are there to make an honest living like everyone else and their time and talent is worth someting. Salon Dante has not been in business for 46 years for giving poor customer service. We thrive on Cutomer service and guarantee our services. We feel we have the best stylists in the state and the best products and services available for our guests. Recently I attempted to save some money by coloring my own hair...bad mistake. I did not know what I was doing and I ended up with colors in my hair that I did not know existed. My hair was a disaster and I was an emotional wreck. I looked up salons in the neighborhood and I called Salon Dante. I explained what had happened and the receptionist was able to calm my nerves and assured me that they could fix my mistake. They were very accommodating and scheduled me an appointment the same day. I arrived for my appointment and I was greeted by very friendly staff. I was so concerned about the damage to my hair and I did not want any more damage to happen. The stylist explained to me the damage to my hair that I had caused and she also explained to me the options I had to fix the mess. The stylist was professional and she was very educated in color. This was not a quick process, I was there for a couple of hours and the salon bought me lunch,something I never expected. The stylist also did a deep conditioning treatment at no charge to help stop my hair from being damaged any more. My hair is quite long and I want to keep it that way. I had caused damage to my hair and I was afraid that I was going to have to cut it off. That would have been devastating to me and the stylist saved that from happening. The stylist explained to me that she would be able to fix the color and she did. She worked so hard to fix my hair and I was more than pleased with the results. The stylist listened to what I wanted and she worked very hard to fix my disaster. She truly cared about how I was feeling and made sure she helped me. All of the staff at Salon Dante are great people. When it came time to pay, I was shocked at the price. I would have expected to pay double what they charged me. I could not believe that the price to fix my hair was so cheap in addition to the services that were complimentary. I cannot thank Salon Dante enough and I know I will be a customer for life.

I recently dropped by Salon Dante and Day Spa in a rush to get a haircut. I have never been in the salon before and I am not a typical client of a "spa" environment. The staff was accomodating and got me right in for a haircut. The atmosphere was different than I have ever experienced getting a haircut. I actually relaxed, I did not feel that I was a rush client and being pushed out of the chair to get the next client. I have been told I am a tough guy to please but the stylist listened to how I wanted my hair cut and she did exactly as I asked. The environment was so friendly and not only did I leave a happy customer but I am now a repeat customer. I was also pleased to hear that the salon is adding straight edge razor shaves to their list of services. I personally will be back to take advantage of that service due to the environment and the courtesy of all the staff at Salon Dante and Day Spa.

I came to this "4 Star Salon" seeking something new and fresh for my hair. The lady that did my hair, Krista, was "really good with blondes." I wanted some low lights and the underneath portion darkened as well. What I got was a mess. The top half was red, brass, and the bottom was gray. She wasn't happy with it either, so we started again. Five hours later, she wanted to do it again. I couldn't stay, so I offered to come back the next day. I payed for my services and left. Yes, I PAID FOR MY SERVICES!! Big mistake. The next day I came in and brought a picture so there was no mis-understanding. I thought it was going to be great, and when she was done, it was still brown, it was still brassy, and the underneath was still grey! She had no idea what she was doing. At this point I was in tears, and needed someone else to do my hair. That's when Tegan took over. She knew what she was doing and it showed. She put blonde back in, and I was much happier than when I got there. The problem, however, is that my hair is still partly grey, and my scalp was so sore from being colored 3 times prior, that Tegan wanted to keep the color away from my scalp, leaving two inches of brown that still need to be covered. I got in touch with Pat, the owner, to see what they could do for me. Pat and Krista were on confernce call and ganged up on me. I was not heard, they were not nice, and I will never go back. They are not willing to do anything else for me to make me satisfied. They feel I didn't know what I wanted, and I feel they don't know what they are doing. I will not recommend this salon to my worst enemy! I have hair down to the middle of my back, and I take good care of it. I feel bad for anyone who has gotten their hair screwed up, but worse for anyone who has paid $300 to get it "better than is was, but still unsatisfied!" To Salon Dante...change your "satisfaction guaranteed" policy, because it's a lie! 11 hours and $300 is way too much!

Pros: They serve you water if you get thirsty?

Cons: EVERYTHING!!

I arrived early for my Appointment, it was my first haircut & style at Salon Dante. Even though I was early they paged my Stylist and she came right up and got me. She asked very smart questions about my hair. ie: how often I get it cut. My daily routine. Styling tools, products, etc. I felt like she really wanted to give me a haircut that I was pleased with and that matched my maintenance needs. I went for a drastic change, from long (bra-strap) length, to above my shoulders. She also told me I had "great" hair, while she was styling it. I will return to Salon Dante for the personalized service, the ambiance of the facility, the professionalism of the staff and the Scalp Massage during my shampoo!

Pros: Service oriented to feel comfortable and relaxing. Experienced and bright Staff.

Cons: None that I observed

Last Christmas, my son in college gave me a gift of a spa pedicure. It just so happened we were traveling at the time, and unfortunately the gift certificate was misplaced. I spent months looking for it when we returned, and never found it. We located the charge on his bank statement for that month and asked Salon Dante if they would honor that as proof of purchase. The answer was "no". In this day and age, for the life of me, I can't understand why there can't be a better tracking system for situations such as this one. A simple computer spreadsheet, perhaps? I have been a client of this spa in the past, but needless to say, I will be moving on to another. $50 is a hefty "donation" for a college student.

I have been looking for a salon that will cater to my special needs due to medical problems. I have called for information on products and services that I may be able to receive. My doctor has told me to consult with a professional before having any services but I cannot consult with a professional or anyone else there due to no one being willing to answer my questions. I really need a salon that will help me, I am not that hard of a case but not one person at Salon Dante is willing to answer my questions. I will continue to look but for the "handicapped" or the person with a little different needs...Salon Dante is not the place for you.

I loved how everything in the salon & spa was wheelchair accessible, even the showers were easy for my mom. The Therapist that worked on her also works at tosh and really knew her stuff, She made her feel so good. We were also educated on some things that were very helpful for my moms MS. The staff really knew their stuff and seemed to take their careers seriously. I went in for my acylic toes for my bridal sandals, saw Mindy, she really does a great job. My mom had a full set of nails done too, Her gal did a beautiful job too. I went to the spa before my acrylic toes for a manicure, very relaxing & beautful. I want the quiet room in my own house. I liked the nail salon being seperate from the spa. I have been to to other salons before and had spa services done and had to smell nails while haivng my hair or massages done, but really Salon Dante's nail salons air was fresh & didn't really smell like a typical nail salon & I have been to many! I like being able to have fun & Laugh with the girls in the nail salon in the spa we whispered, but in a real day spa, you do & should.) I had alot of fun and had a great nail service, I was ready, relaxed & rejuvinated for my wedding and will deffinately be back for other services as well. I have never been treated better in a Salon & Day Spa.

So I was looking up new salons to visit for the usual day of pampering, came upon this website and read through the reviews. Thought I'd check it out since it got some good ratings. I haven't gone in to the day spa yet, just went in a few weeks ago for a fill in their nail salon. The nail salon part of Salon Dante is in the basement of the original building, which has not been updated. I'm sure their new day spa area is much better, according to reviews posted, but their nail "salon" was less appealing. Don't ever need to use the restroom when you're done in the nail area, as it is past the workers break room. And fairly small. Just thought someone should let you salon goers know...don't expect the royal treatment if you go to get your nails done. I recommend somewhere else that is know to have a high quality area.

I went in for the first time to salon Dante for a pedicure & some acrylic toes. Grrreeeaaatt!! I then added on a hilite, I told the stylist I wanted them soft but when I got home they were too soft, I called & spoke to the owner, she was very accomodating and welcomed me to come in for some more, a different stylist did them this time because the other one was booked, I was very nervous about going back beacause other salons had been so caddy when I had to back for hair cuts. My first stylist was friendly and professional and assured me that the other stylist would do a great job, I felt very comfortable then. They are very professional. My hilites are beautiful. I love it there

Pros: Great Stylists & loved my acrylic toes Very clean updated place.
