I feel I have an obligation to the citizens of Utah to inform them the gift shop in Saltaire Arena is nothing more than A RIP OFF !!! I went in there with my boys for a brief get away after their father died and bought them some small (expensive) items for keepsake. First off, the items are very "EXPENSIVE". Second of all, the items are CHEAP !. They come from China and every single thing I bought from there, in one week time either broke or the color (chrome) rubbed off completely and now its just the copper showing. I highly recomend everyone stay away from there and definatly don't buy a thing from the gift shop. That is unless you enjoy throwing money away.

Pros: NONE

Cons: ALL

I went to Saltair to see three amazing bands perform. When I arrived I found out I had to pay $5 to park. Well, where else do you park out there so of course I had to pay (please note I already paid for the concert ticket and service charge). I get inside and find out I have to pay an additional $5 to even go upstairs (alcohol was being served up there). It was like their own little club. The building was partitioned off and the wooden rafters made it so the noise blurred together and was unrecognizable. I would not recommend this place for concerts especially if you like the band. It made for a sorry and costly experience.

Pros: Private location

Cons: Parking, drinks, and sound

I went to the Saltair for a concert and the sound was amazing. However, it was very dirty... The concession stand only had two people working in it and it was very unsanitary. They were pretty much throwing handburgers at anyone who walked up to the counter. Also, its a very small place for a concert. VERY SMALL! The drunks above enjoy throwing things at the people down below... NOT COOL. The stage should be up higher so that those of us who are short can see something!! Bathroom stalls were disgusting.

Pros: Sound

Cons: Cleanliness, concessions, paraphanellia everywhere!!!!

Went for a party at SALTAIR from out of town. We were having fun until they refused to serve food!! The guy at the food counter was extremely rude and refused to serve us for no reasons!! I've never been to a place that refuses to serve food especially when they sell alcohol! It’s completely unacceptable and we will NEVER go back there!

Overall as a venue for a concert, Saltair seems to have pretty good sound and the lighting is amazing. However, the security seemed to be telling everyone they disallowed digital camera at the band's request. I know have it on good authority that it was NOT the band. The security lied to me on two occasions (regarding cameras, and regarding gifts to the band) which left a bad taste in my mouth. I don't like being lied to. As a result, one of the gifts I brought was broken and the other went undelivered. I finally gave it to the drummer of an opening band (who was outstanding, btw.) The bands I saw last night actully like photos and request them on their boards. I could have had amazing pics. I was left feeling one of my favorite bands dissed me, and it wasn't the band. Left a bad taste.

Pros: good sound, good stage lighting

Cons: parking fees unstated, stage really high up, security camera issue

I found saltair to be a very weird place. there was no one in the bar. there were huge spiders hanging on all the windows and it was not very clean. Someone should clean it up then it could be a real cool place to party.

Pros: good music

Cons: poor parking, poor outside lights
