Quick Peek

In "Lakeview Terrace," a young couple has just moved into their California dream home when they become the target of their next-door neighbor, who disapproves of their interracial relationship. A stern, single father, this tightly wound LAPD officer has appointed himself the watchdog of the neighborhood. His nightly foot patrols and overly watchful eyes bring comfort to some, but he becomes increasingly harassing to the newlyweds. These persistent intrusions into their lives ultimately turn tragic when the couple decides to fight back.

the point of the movie is to prod people to both sides of a subject: bigotry, in this case racial combined with class bigotry. Mr. Jackson was point on for the role and the way the role was written it gave me a great deal of empathy for his character's cause-up to the point where laws were being broken by him. This is not a 5 star movie but I think it's fair that it garner another half star for attempting to be relevant, if not wholly sucessful in doing so. If you really like Samuel L. Jackson like I do, you will enjoy this movie, dammit!

Pros: one of the best movies out in the last month

Cons: previews made it entirely predictable premise storyline.

It was just ok. Not real thrilling or exciting. It was a movie where you pretty much knew what was going to happen.

Pros: Great parking, nobody in theatre

Cons: Movie was not too great
