Soiree planners are experts in their fields and try to accommodate everyone by offering a one hour complimentary consultation to get every bride started on planning their wedding. The vendors are available online at no charge for those couples who are not sure of the area and wish to explore the vendues and vendors locally prior to commiting to a planner. However, if you would like a Soiree planner to coordinate a full day vendor visit tour and attend those meetings with you Soiree charges a $500 fee which is then applied to the balance of your contract should you decide to book a planning contract with them. Doesn't that sound great? You can count on Soiree with a very long list of references from former clients that stretches from the East Coast to the West. Soiree goes above and beyond the call of duty and works with everyone regardless of their budget. The planners do their best to find the perfect match of vendors and sometimes a client just can't see the vision which is why utilizing a planners expertise and knowledge and viewing their photos and portfolio is crucial. Asking a planner to meet with you, plan a full visit, and changing their contract without permission is unethical and unfair. Time is valuable and a bride's character is important. This is a happy occasion so don't start your wedding planning by being deceitful. Be honest with your wedding planner and have fun. Tell them your budget, your likes and dislikes and your expectations but don't expect them to work for free. Every planner around the US will try to accommodate your needs but if you ask them to spend valuable time planning and coordinating all of your details expect to pay. Most will apply that fee right back into your contract. You wouldn't expect an attorney, consultant, or interior decorator to create a design and spend 10 hours of their time talking with you and escorting you on buying trips and not charge you a consultation fee. Call Soiree, you'll be glad you did!

Pros: Very knowledgable and a beautiful environment. Courteous planners.

Cons: Packages from $2,000 to $20,000. Some packages are expensive and not affordable to everyone.

My fiancee and I are avid skiers and simply in love with Deer Valley and Park City, UT. We found Soiree Productions online, emailed back and forth, explained our wants, they sent us a 6 suggestions, based on their feedback we found the PERFECT venue. We booked a trip out to see the venue and visit with the wedding coordinator - however inorder for Soiree to book appointments, we needed to sign a contract. Contract outlined everything. We however told the coordinator we could not just sign "sight unseen", so dates were changed making the contract valid the week AFTER we had visited. We left for PC and met with the venue (wedding coordinator too busy to meet with us at venue). Arriving at the venue - a cabin 10,000 feet up with stunning views of the mountain, we were met by construction cranes, trucks, and in short a big mess!!! Next door to the cabin a large hotel was being built, to be finished March 09 - one month AFTER our planned wedding. Needless to say this ruined the experience. We called the wedding coordinator, who was well aware of the ongoing construction - her comments where - it gets dark early in the winter, so you wont even notice the construction!!?? Naturally we were appauled.... my fiancee crushed ... next day we checked out 3 other venues, but none to our liking. We were very dissapointed! We called the coordinator and said we were no longer interested in her services - she didn't ask what she could do to make it better, but told us the contract was binding, and we HAD to pay her half of her total fee even though the contract she signed said we had several days before it went into effect. She claimed she never agreed to change the dates - although she had signed it and her boss, the owner, threatened us with a law suit and wrote an email that seriously disrespected my fiancee - a person she does not know at all!! We settled on paying $500 for the 10 hrs it had taken the cordinator to find 6 venues for us. We are now having our wedding in Chicago!

Pros: The studio atmosphere was nice.

Cons: Overpriced (got a better price for a well-known wedding planner in Chicago), very rude, threatened unwarranted legal action, impersonal.
