I was there the night of the brawl. I felt like I was in the movie Boyz in Da Hood walking around in there. Better not look at anybody wrong, you might get a gun pulled on you. I have been going there since it was Shaggy's and its turning into a dump. The DJ in the danceroom is totally lame, where did they get him?? He talks in the middle of every song and about gross things like how women like it "deep". He will play a good song and 5 seconds into it he'll change it. So what's the point of dancing? Except watching sluts dancing s exy in mini skirts on the high dancefloor. The place is lame now.
Pros: big area
Cons: replic of boyz in da hood

I went to the Hotel bar with high expectations that were most certainly not met even before I got through the door. Having gone to see a very respected internatinal DJ (Mr. Christpher Lawrence) I was baffled upon arriving to hear some annoying "rap"; not the tell-tale UNS UNS of electronic music eminating from the front door as I had expected. I had to ask one of the fo-hawk sporting (I think it was a prerequisite) employees if I had the right place. After entering, the red lights made me instantly unnerved. Still wondering if I had the right place, I wandered all the way to the back of the bar, whereupon I finally got my first hint of the UNS UNS UNS I so desperatly craved at that point. My girlfriend and I entered the room and started to get into it, when things got out of hand. Some very drunk girl got in a fight with one of the not-so sttractive gogo dancers and ran over to tell the security guard about it. She was causing quite a scene so I looked up at the DJ booth and then I heard a crash and my g/f was like oh my god that bouncer just pushed that girl to the floor! I dont know exactly what happened as I didnt see it, but whatever happened it was not a great way to start the night. We then walked back out into the front room, where we stopped for 3 seconds in the too narrow hallway and were instantly accosted by another fo-hawk sporting punk who informed us we couldnt stand there. Then i tried to find the bathroom and took a wrong turn into the kitchen and was yet again ratherly rudely told that the bathroom was the other way. I tried to go get my groove on to CL but it was just no use.. about 5 people were dancing (to the #4 DJ in the world..), the whole crowd was trashy and unfriendly, people kept bumping into me, everyone was way to drunk.... basically I left after about 30 minutes in disgust and wish I had my $5 back. You couldnt pay me to go back to the hotel bar and I hope they go out of buisness.
Pros: I now know how to not make a club
Cons: everything..
