Editorial Review for The Spa Club – by Michelle Lowry
The Scene
When you're busy, nothing spells relaxation like a spur-of-the-moment foot massage. At Spa Club, not only is this possible, but the bright orange walls and whimsical decor will leave you in a cheerful mood. Appointments are required for most treatments, but Spa Club's convenient locations and accommodating staff make it easy to sandwich a treatment in between shopping and soccer practice.
The Services
This a no-frills, no-nonsense approach to your grooming and well-being. Though you may have a nonchalant attitude toward your skin-care regime, your esthetician will not. They're happy to have a consultation about your personal needs. Other treatments, from massages and manicures to craniosacral therapy and sunless tanning, are relaxed, enjoyable and informative. Don't be afraid to ask questions. And don't worry--if you need a lip wax, they'll let you know.
The Details

Overall, I think the Spa Club is so-so. I had a haircut there, which is so-so. I felt I could've gotten the same haircut from some beauty schools, which would've been cheaper. The massages were pretty good. The massages are probably the only service that's worth of the money. I have pedicures there every 2 months or so. Most of the time, the pedicure was good. However, the last pedicure I had was a disaster. The girl painted my toe nails, and accidentally smeared the nail polish. Instead of removing the mess and re-painting that nail, she painted over and tried to cover up the mess. Yes, I confronted her, but no, she did not re-do it. I didn't want to make a scene over $18 pedicure, but I won't go back for the pedicure again. Actually, I won't renew my membership.
Pros: economy, clean and comfortable facility
Cons: Unperfessional nail staffs

I have been to many spas all around the nation and by far The Spa Club was the best! All the employees made sure I was taken care of. They treated me so well. I got a massage, facial, pedicure, and hair cut ond colored. The stylist was fabulous, my hair was exactly the way I had imagined, not to mention the prices are unbeatable. I had come back another time and I signed up for the synergy treatments and they are amazing!!!
Cons: the only bad thing is that I will spend all my extra money pampering myself!
