The Scene
A dark wood panel saloon cured by decades of tobacco smoke and off-color cowboy talk. Moose and elk trophies--and even a stuffed St. Bernard--preside over this one-room establishment, with its cash-plastered ceiling, where you're as likely to hear German or French spoken as you are English--Huntsville is a ski jump away from the 2002 downhill course at Snowbasin. Don't forget to check out the jukebox with its selection of 45s, including old-time country favorites Gene Autry and Marty Robbins.
The Food
Burgers are the top draw. Headlining the menu is the triple-decker Star burger, which features a split knockwurst nestled among the lettuce, pickles and tomato. The double bacon cheese is another favorite. Burgers come with potato chips. "We are not a restaurant," the menu declares. "No substitutes." There's beer on tap and dark bottled microbrew if the draft is too light for your taste.

Truthfully, I don't know anything about this place. They would not answer the phone at 5:45pm on a Monday. I called several times but no answer. My family is in town for a reunion, all 15 of us and we were trying to find a place to go tonight. I think they're either out of business or no longer open on Mondays.

Been coming here for years and I know the special ingredients! It's a GREAT beer and burger joint with lots of fun and historic atmosphere, FABULOUS Star Burger amongst their other burgers, Heidi the owner is WONDERFUL, interesting people to meet now matter what time of year, bathrooms a MUST SEE. Don't expect 5 star restaurant service but rather a 5 star authectic western have a good time saloon. Anyone in the area, including Ogden, must visit the Star for the experince. And to all of you who wrote negative comments, try Burger King so you can have it your way!
Pros: Fun, good food & beer, front door parking authentic western atmosphere.
Cons: May have wait time to be seated during busy hours but worth the wait.
